Informal Justice Court

We are conducting fieldwork in one of the fastest growing urban areas in the world, Lagos (Nigeria). To understand the effects of migration we focus on the congestion in the Kirikiri Prison. The mega-city of Lagos faces numerous social challenges as social systems struggle to navigate the ever evolving stimulation of its rapid growth, particularly as they relate to crime and order. How can the strengths of informal justice systems provide possible solutions to the challenges the Kirikiri prison? Click here for more info hosted by the African Art Foundation. The project will take of next year.
